Mr. Ferri is the Head of Asia Pacific region for Fincantieri SPA and CEO of Fincantieri China, Fincantieri is one of the world’s largest shipbuilding groups and number one by diversification and innovation active in cruise ships, navy, oil and gas vessels, mega-yacht, infrastructures and industrial components.
Mr. Ferri represents Fincantieri’s business interests in the APAC region and in China and he directly supervises all the cruise industry supply chain development in China
Mr. Ferri led the negotiations for the Joint Venture Agreement between Fincantieri and CSSC for the construction of the first cruise ship in China dedicated to the Chinese market. This deal was the cornerstone that brought to the Carnival Corp. and CSSC agreement with Fincantieri for the constructions of first 2 cruise ships in China, with an option for additional 4 for a total value of around 5 Billion USD. The deal has been inked in Beijing in 2017, in the presence of the President of China, Mr. Xi Jinping, and the President of Italy, Mr. Sergio Mattarella. In consideration of the above achievements, in 2019 the Shanghai Municipal Government awarded him with the prestigious Magnolia Award – Silver Medal.
Prior to Fincantieri Mr. Ferri has worked for over ten years between China, USA and Europe as an executive in industries such as automotive and industrial equipment.
Mr. Ferri holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering (M.Eng.) from the Italian University of Bologna as well as a Master in Business Administration from HULT International Business School from Boston, USA.
