Michele Geraci was born in Palermo, Italy in 1966 and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Palermo in 1989 with a degree in electronic engineering. After working at British Telecom, he received his MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and started his career in London and New York City. He has worked at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, DLJ, and Schroders. Since 2008, he has taught financial courses at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, New York University Shanghai, and Zhejiang University. He was appointed Undersecretary of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development in June 2018.
