Bo Sun is Chief Marketing Officer at the Trip.com Group. Since joining in 2010, he has led the company’s overall marketing strategy, brand development, and international expansion. Mr. Sun has played a pivotal role in creating an open content marketing ecosystem, he leads departments that drive the expansion of all business lines, cultivate new growth opportunities, and promote the digital transformation of the travel industry. Mr. Sun oversees a diverse portfolio of core business areas including domestic and international government cooperation, public relations, destination marketing, and financial services. He has led the expansion of new business sectors such as content communities, live streaming platforms, commercialization centers, membership marketing, and new consumer features. In addition to cultivating leading marketing talent, Mr. Sun is also responsible for incubating trailblazing travel innovations. Over more than 10 years at the forefront of China’s Internet and online product marketing industries, Mr. Sun has received many accolades and awards for his contributions to the field. In 2020, he was named a Pioneering Figure by Harvard Business Review China, and was included in the Campaign’s Asia-Pacific Power List as one of the region’s 50 most influential and purposeful marketers. In 2018, he was ranked among Harvard Business Review China and Tencent Marketing Institute’s 30 Innovative Figures of Ecological Forces. In 2017, he was awarded the Annual Influential Figure prize by Great Wall Awards. Mr. Sun is a long-standing speaker and judge at many top industry award bodies such as the Great Wall China Marketing Awards and GOMX Global Marketing Conference.
