Sandy Sun currently heads up Seagate’s China Organization and she is responsible for driving the financial performance and success of the group by growing revenue and market share across all of Seagate’s Enterprise, Desktop, Notebook, Consumer Electronics and Branded Solutions market segments. Sandy bases in Beijing, in addition to developing new market segments and new revenue streams, Sandy will also oversee all functions relating to sales, marketing and technical support to ensure best-in-class customer service.
Sandy brings with her more than 20 years of working experience in the IT industry with specific strengths in server, storage, network, and software and strong capabilities in sales, marketing, product management, channel and business management.
Sandy joined Seagate in Jan. 2013 as the Vice President and General Manager of China. Prior to joining Seagate, Sandy has worked in a number of senior positions at IBM including the divisions responsible for PCs, China E-commerce and the China Sales Operation and served as the general manager of IBM System X division in the Greater China (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong) since 2004.
Sandy ranks on lists of 2019 Forbes China Top Businesswomen, 2020 Forbes China Top Businesswomen and 2020 Forbes China 50 Top Women in Tech.
Sandy Sun is the member of Shanghai Informatization Committee of Experts. Sandy holds executive master’s degree of business administration from CKGSB and bachelor’s degree in computer science from Peking University of Technology.
