Mr. Wen Tiejun, born in May 1951 in Beijing, PhD in management, is an expert entitled to the Special Allowance of the State Council. Mr. Wen served as deputy director of the Rural Policy Research Office, CCCPC, and the Rural Development Research Center, the State Council; director of the Rural Economic Research Center, the Ministry of Agriculture; deputy secretary general of China Society of Economic Reform; director and chief editor of the China Society of Economic Reform journal; dean and professor of the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Renmin University of China. He was also appointed as chief expert for numerous national projects. Currently, Mr. Wen is the executive dean of the Institute of Rural Reconstruction of China, Southwest University and Director, Rural Revitalization Centre at Xi’s New Time Socialist Institute, Beijing University; independent director of the Postal Savings Bank of China。He is the author of more than 10 books including Ten Crises The Political Economy of China’s Development (1949–2020).
